Abstract

This chapter aims to discuss the recent trend of transnational higher education (TNHE) development in China and the subsequent challenges to its university governance. Observations presented in the paper have benefited from a total of five field trips to different parts of China conducted by the research team comprising Ka Ho Mok, David Kin Keung Chan and Kok Chung Ong from November 2010 to March 2011 (see Appendix for details).
