Transcript analysis: Using the data to improve schools

Abstract

In reaction to national and state reports, principals are reviewing curricula, developing inservice programs, and reviewing test scores—among other activities—in an effort to meet public ex pectations. Another activity to be considered, advise these writ ers, is analysis of student transcripts. To illustrate how, they describe the study they conducted, followed by an explanation of its implications. Copyright © 1986 National Association of Secondary School Principals.
