Abstract

In the process of social transformation, as a victim of planning model and technology development, interpersonal communication has been put on an indirect position. Although contemporary community improved the quality of the living environment to some extent, due to various reasons, the vitality of the community cannot be maintained. But some traditional communities retains some of its vibrant urban space, satisfied the needs of current residents. In this paper, we took Chengdu Yulin community as a research object, analyzes its’ historical background, residents, industrial facilities, planning mode, explore the key reason of their vibrant, hoping to provide a reference for today’s city design.
