Abstract
Parents and early childhood educators in Hong Kong have been enthusiastically supportive of including computer activities in programs for young children. However, the benefits of using computers as a tool for learning may be eroded by a number of socio-contextual factors. Here, Leung discusses some factors apparent in the Hong Kong context that may need to be addressed by early childhood educators. Copyright © 2003 Association for Childhood Education International.
