Kindergarten is a place for children to learn and play safety. Early childhood is the foundation period for the life-long development of an individual's physical, psychosocial and emotional health as well as well-being. Involvement in play and physical activities in a safe environment has been demonstrated an important contributor to thrive of children. The early childhood teachers play an important role to create a healthy and safety environment. However, there is no research to investigate early childhood teachers' health and safety knowledge, teaching skills and abilities of promoting health and safety prevention in Macau. In view of this, a study will be conducted to investigate the early childhood teachers' self-efficacy to promote health and safety in their workplace. Individual interview will be done to early childhood teachers. The interview content will be transcribed verbatim to facilitate analysis and theme identification using content analysis. The findings will help to plan an effective health and safety training programme to the early childhood teachers in Macau.
