Abstract
Blended learning has been encouraged at HKIEd where students can expect modules to be made up of face-face-classes as well as some elements of on-line learning. This 'blended' learning environment can provide the personal contact that is such an important part of teaching as well as encourage independent learning. Yet as our post - graduate programmes develop there will be a need to develop even more flexible approaches to learning to cater for the needs of students both in Hong Kong and elsewhere. The purpose of this project, therefore, is to explore the potential of Blackboard to provide an alternative and self-contained learning environment that will both provide flexibilities for students while at the same time enhancing their learning.
