This research project aims at enhancing the teaching effectiveness of pre-service students in HKIEd. It plans to help students to master the pedagogy of the teaching of Chinese Language so that they can have more adequate preparation and confidence to face the challenges of real teaching environment. Through a variety of activities, students' pedagogical content knowledge and ability will be enhanced. The project consists of three parts: Small group Cooperative Teaching, Drama and Teaching, and Teaching of Chinese using Putonghua. Through cooperative teaching, participants will enhance their powers of communication. Through peer trial teaching and real classroom teaching, participants can master the knowledge and teaching strategies before their teaching practium. In Drama and Teaching, activities will include analysis, appreciation, creativity and performance, based on theory and practice, so that participants will develop multiple intelligence and aesthetic powers to enhance their creativity, critical thinking and culture quality. In Teaching of Chinese using Putonghua, a series of workshops will be organized. Participants will receive expert advice to enhance their teaching.
