Abstract

This project serves to support the development of outcome-based education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction; it aims to develop a draft of Learning Outcomes specific to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, through various steps: (a) compiling relevant C&I learning outcomes/objectives from the existing module outlines; (b) defining C&I Subject Outcomes in a coding and re-coding process; (c) checking the preliminarily developed C&I Subject Outcomes against the 4Cs and the Institute's OBL Framework and make necessary revisions; (d) deploy a survey to all C&I staff members & the final year graduates to determine their perception of the derived Subject Outcomes, by rating the importance of the Outcomes in a 5-point rating scale; (e) Modifying the C&I Outcomes based on the results of the survey analysis; (f) publicizing the outcomes through seminar. The project mobilizes the whole C&I department to engage in the processes of C&I Outcome development.
