Abstract
The introduction and implementation of the Target-Oriented Curriculum (TOC) has involved training programmes for primary school teachers in the three core subjects of Chinese, English and Mathematics. However, questions were raised about the efficacy of such programmes. Accordingly a survey was carried out to establish what the teachers themselves saw as their priorities. The teachers in the survey came from the participants who attended the 3-day TOC training seminars run by the Education Department. This paper describes the results of the survey and discusses their implications.
