Abstract
A series of polynuclear copper(I) and gold(I) alkynyl complexes, [Cu₃(μ-dppm)₃(μ₃-η¹-CC-Np)₂]BF₄ (1), [Cu₃(μ-dppm)₃(μ₃-η¹-CCC₆H₄CN-4)₂]BF₄ (2) and [{AuP(Tol-p)₃(CC)}₂Np-1,5] (3), have been synthesized and shown to exhibit rich photoluminescence at ambient and low temperatures. The electrochemistry of the complexes has also been studied in detail by cyclic voltammetry. Copyright © 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
