Abstract
In the age of artificial intelligence (AI), the education landscape is undergoing radical transformation, demand- ing new frameworks to prepare young learners for a future defined by technological innovation and complex problem-solving. This article introduces the SCALE taxonomy of 21st -century authentic intelligence , covering Sci- entific Literacy, Computational Thinking, AI Literacy, Learning to Learn (Metacognition), and Engineering and Design Thinking. SCALE is a new framework of educational objectives designed to align human learning with the demands of the AI age. By centering on “Authentic Learning Through Creating, ”this article also outlines how SCALE can empower AI natives to engage in meaningful experiences in big-group activities, learning centers, redesigned classroom environments, and assessment. The SCALE taxonomy not only provides a shared vision for educational innovation but also serves as a practical tool for curriculum design and assessment, as well as a common language among educators.
