Abstract

This study showed that cognitive reserve was crucial to reading comprehension in older adults, and those who lack a robust cognitive reserve were more affected by language experience and reading motivation in comprehension of text. The findings could inform intervention efforts to mitigate reading decline with advancing age. Copyright © 2023 ICPS.
