Public lecture series: The English you didn't learn in school II

This presentation describes the rationale and results of a public lecture series that is now entering its third year. This series, which is aimed at a general audience, addresses aspects of the English language that tend to receive little or no attention in schools. In this sense, the series meets the aims of knowledge transfer to its fullest extent. The presenter will explain the rationale with examples from some of the talks and then describe the beneficiaries along with their reactions. One of the goals of the talk will be to show that the KT funding generously supplied achieved satisfactory results. Copyright © 2010 The Hong Kong Institute of Education.
