Abstract
An investigation of oily wastewater separation by ceramic membrane is introduced. The effect of operating conditions such as transmembrane pressure drop, crossflow velocity and oil concentration on permeate flux, flux decline and fouling resistance were studied. The continuous monitoring of the permeate flux and TOC of permeation were performed during each case. The results showed that permeate flux was obviously affected by these process factors. AU TOC rejection efficiencies were found to reach over 85%. The irreversible resistance of filtration was obviously increased as the increasing of transmembrane pressure.
