Language learning careers as a unit of ‘activity’

Philip BENSON

Research output: Contribution to conferencePapers

Abstract

This contribution explores the notion of the ‘language learning career’ as an analytical unit corresponding to the ‘activity’ of learning a language in narrative-based research. I will also discuss how learners use this unit as both a narrative device and an interpretative frame for more episodic experiences of language learning.
