Introduction: The glacial politics of climate change

Abstract

In this article the author discusses the political aspects of environmental action on climate change. The author notes that climate change is no longer the purview of scientists exclusively but has been become a political issue and is subject to the actions of governments, global organizations, commercial entities and non-governmental agencies. The author uses the article to assess the impact that climate change has on the planet, and provides a comprehensive precis of government responses to those actions.
