Abstract

A great variety of books dealing with Hong Kong have been recently published in the PRC. Although we may find among these publications a few academic monographs focusing on specific aspects of the "Special Adminis trative Region" (SAR) as well as a number of comprehensive dictionaries designed to provide both scholars and general readers with easy references, the vast majority are intended to familiarize Mainland readers with Hong Kong affairs. The authors have selected for review two recent series repre sentative of the prevailing views developed by Mainland scholars. Copyright © 1997 EHESS.
