Abstract

Global and regional UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) sponsored networks are very active in the Asia Pacific region in promoting environmental education and education for sustainable development with particular reference to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) development. This paper examines the powerful impact of the UNESCO networks in Asia Pacific in promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and TVET, with particular reference to the role of intergenerational learning and transformative leadership to promote and achieve sustainable futures.
