Abstract

In this chapter, we provide an overview of the book and our motivation for editing it. We explore the global movement toward sustainable development and the critical role that Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education in the early years can play in achieving this goal. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive guide to STEAM education in the early years that is grounded in theory, research, and practical experience. Copyright © 2024 selection and editorial matter, Weipeng Yang, Sarika Kewalramani and Jyoti Senthil; individual chapters, the contributors.
