Abstract

This unique chapter looks at the two most important political parties of the country, Fretilin and CNRT, rarely compared. The present Sixth Constitutional Government is a CNRT government, with its Prime Minister, Rui Maria de Araújo is a Fretilin member. The Government will be dissolved after the parliamentary elections on July 22, 2017. This chapter studies the political challenges in 2016 and the youth who constitute a very important part of the population without political power and often unemployed.
