Abstract

The Prelle-Singer procedure for determining elementary first integrals of two-dimensional autonomous systems of ordinary differential equations is introduced and how it can be generalized to higher dimensions is discussed. The application of this procedure in several dynamical systems is reported. Copyright © 1994 IOP Publishing.
