Abstract
This paper reports on the development and use of digital lectures as an additional resource to augment conventional face-to-face lectures in the Department of Chinese Language Studies in 2013-14. Following the “one course one digital lecture” initiative, a total of nine digital lectures were produced, ranging from language studies, literature to language teaching methods. An online survey and two focus groups were conducted to solicit student feedback on the digital lectures in facilitating learning. Digital lectures could be conducive to learning but could not replace face-to-face lectures.
