Abstract

This chapter will initially provide a review of what is guiding or leading the change towards inclusion and how this is progressing from an international perspective. Preparing teachers for diversity is considered by discussing competences and strategies needed to support an inclusive approach. Finally, some key challenges are presented that are faced by schools and impact on teachers’ capacity to implement an inclusive pedagogy. Copyright © 2012 Authors.
