The chapters in this book presents the ICT in Education policies and implementation in eleven countries through the lens of six main themes, namely, ICT policy, ICT infrastructure, educational resources, ICT integration into practices, students’ ICT competence, and teachers’ professional development. This final chapter discusses some of the salient commonalities and differences amongst the countries. Each country needs to make differentiated strategic choices and take diversified development pathways according to its own historical, cultural and economic circumstances. Different countries can achieve both differentiated development and coordinated development from mutual learning and wide-range collaborations. The case studies of the eleven countries provide a unique macro perspective that will lead to a deeper understanding of opportunities and challenges afforded by ICT in education, and will also drive higher level of national development and international collaboration.
