Abstract
This article provides an overview of Section 6 of the Oxford Handbook of Music Education, Volume 2. The section is the first among music education handbooks to focus on media. The authors highlight the increasing recognition of the importance of media both as a field of study and as a set of practices shaped by technology. Copyright © 2012 Oxford University Press.
