Abstract
An alternative lattice dynamical model called decoupling transformation is applied to analyze the phonon dispersion curves of FCC palladium metal, yielding satisfactory description of the experimental data. Consequently, this model is employed in conjunction with the Kanzaki's lattice statics method to calculate various vacancy induced properties in this metal.
