Abstract
This article describes the nanomaterials and technology application research being performed by the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI) in Hong Kong. Five focused market sectors are identified where nanomaterials and technologies can add significant value in Hong Kong and the surrounding Pearl River Delta (PRD) region. The five areas are sustainable energy, display and solid-state lighting, building/construction materials, environmental technologies, and medical and health care products. Copyright © 2011 IEEE.
