Animating classroom teaching with mobile technologies

Research output: Contribution to conferencePapers

Abstract

As on-going activities to consolidate our Mobile Learning Community (MLC) that fosters mobile learning and teaching among students and teachers at the Institute, we report two teacher members’ integration of mobile technologies in their teaching of linguistic courses and showcase how two mobile learning systems, i.e., socrative and Edmodo, can be employed respectively in relatively large-size lectures or seminars. Details will be provided regarding how the teachers plan and execute the mobile-technology enhanced teaching, how students interact with the mobile learning systems, respond to this pedagogical innovation, evaluate their learning, and what concerns they have regarding continuous use of mobile technologies in classroom.
