Abstract

This introduction chapter provides an overview of STEM education policies and curriculum initiatives in the Asian context. The three parts of this book are briefly introduced. There is then a summary and synthesis of relevant findings for each of the 14 chapters as well as a discussion linking the content of this book with the current development of STEM education research. Finally, implications, challenges and future directions for STEM education development and related research are proposed. Copyright © 2022 The Author(s).
