Abstract

ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) is a clinical diagnosis of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-R) (American Psychiatric Association 2000 [1994]). ADHD is also a diagnosis of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10), 10th edition (World Health Organization 1992). Whilst not identical, the criteria are very similar. Copyright © 2013 Ted Cole, Harry Daniels and John Visser.
