Abstract
This paper reports a case study of adopting a Smart Site Safety System (SSSS) for maintaining relevant safety standards on construction sites. It explores various perspectives from developers and constructors, evaluates the implementation processes, identifies potential obstacles, and provides recommendations. A pilot project was installed on two existing construction sites affiliated with selected innovation and technology companies, providing several advantages, such as conducting thorough testing, leveraging existing business contacts, and reducing development costs. This strategic approach helps mitigate risks and associated needs. Moreover, the companies in the construction industry involved in the case study are actively engaged in progressive research efforts, including providing relevant training programs to enhance the skills of workers and ensuring proper role matching within the smart safe worksite systems. This proactive approach addresses the crucial need for capacity building and skill development within the industry, ensuring a smooth transition towards a safer and more sustainable work environment.
