Abstract

This book addresses the referred problems and puzzles of education in the Asia-Pacific region. The main questions arising from such a multifaceted predicament, which the authors of this volume elaborate upon, are the underlying sociological and philosophical issues. The main object of enquiry of this book is education, which is one of the central social institutions and vital for a country’s social, economic, and political development.
