《香港通識教育課程發展評析》

Abstract

香港高級補充程度會考通識教育科於1992年推行至今已超過十年,而開設通識教育科的理念是希望學生透過本科達致擴闊視野、提升學習技能的目標。然而,修讀通識教育科的學生人數仍只佔整體預科考生的少數,情況一直未變。去年,教育統籌局(2005)發表《高中及高等教育新學制 ── 投資香港未來的行動方案》,決定於2009年推行高中新學制改革,把通識教育科訂為全港八萬多高中考生必修必考的科目,全港中學即將迎接通識教育科所帶來的各項挑戰。本文透過整理推行高級補充程度通識教育科課程的發展脈絡,結合培訓通識教育科教師時的得著,評析未來高中新學制下通識教育科在課程、教學及評估這三方面的發展,並建議推行新高中通識教育科的關鍵因素。
The Liberal Studies curriculum has been implemented in Hong Kong since 1992. It aims to broaden the horizon and skills for senior secondary students. However, only a minority of students took Liberal Studies as their subject in matriculation examination. The Education and Manpower Bureau has presented The New Academic Structure for Senior Secondary Education and Higher Education ― First Stage Consultation Report in 2005. In this report, Liberal Studies becomes a core subject for all senior secondary students by 2009, and all students have to take this subject and be assessed.
This article studies the development of the new Liberal Studies curriculum to evaluate the development of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment in Liberal Studies in the new senior secondary education. The authors also suggest some critical success factors in implementing the subjects of Liberal Studies curriculum. Copyright © 2006 香港中文大學敎育學院,香港敎育硏究所.
