香港學前教育及幼師培訓發展的回顧

Abstract

本文主要是從文獻中,通過分析學前教育學生及學校的數目、受訓教師的學歷及比率,回顧香港學前教育及幼師培訓百多年來的發展,期盼能為關心幼教的研究者及讀者對學前教育的歷史發展作參考。回顧香港學前教育的歷史,依其發展趨勢,筆者將之粗略分為五期:第一期為史前期(1842-1949);第二期為放任期(1950-1979);第三期為過渡期(1980-1996);第四期為質保期(1997-2006);第五期為學劵期(2006-2010)。彼此之間的發展亦息息相關,反影出政策與幼教持份者間的直接或間接互動關係。
This article is a review of the development of early childhood education in Hong Kong by analyzing the number of pre-schools and students, the qualification and percentage of trained teachers from the literature in the last 150 years, hoping that this will become a useful reference for those who are interested in this area. Early childhood education in Hong Kong can be divided into 5 stages: pre-historic (1842-1949); laissez-faire (1950-1979); transitional (1980-1996); quality assurance (1997-2006); school voucher (2006-2010). There is close relationship between stages, reflecting the mutual interaction between the stake holders and policy makers. Copyright © 2010 優質學校教育學報.
