《周易》卦爻之中，有頗多與飲食、婚配有關的內容。《易經》的作者重視此二種涉及“身體欲望”的行為的正面意義，並能夠從人類這兩項最基本活動中加以引申推衍，以至於在德性修養、文化建構等方面創立自己獨特的議題。《易經》以飲食的情景得失引喻人生順逆安危的關鍵，並對國家政權、人群種族的生存發展表現出深切的關懷；《易經》婚配的思想，以乾坤交泰、陰陽二氣相感的原理為根基，又考慮到更多人倫的因素，如年齡、喜悅、得正、感通、適時等等，非僅止於身體欲望的滿足，而是以文明教化之提升與調和為最終目的。對飲食與婚配二事的理論生髮，體現了《易經》生生不息的精神。 In the statements of the hexagrams and lines in the Zhouyi, there are quite many points on eating & drinking and marriage, by paying attention to the positive meanings of the two basic activities of life involved in human physiological desire, the author of the Yijing extends to the original and distinctive issues of moral cultivation, cultural construction and so on. In the Yjing, the events of eating & drinking are metaphorically used to describe the crucial moments of human life, and the author feels deeply concerns for the state regime and the racial survival; based on the theory of the interaction between Qian and Kun and the mutual communication between Yin and Yang, the idea of marriage in the Ying takes many ethic factors into consideration, such as age, joy and affection as well, and ultimately aims to promote the cultural cultivation rather than meet the physiological needs.
