綜述：漢譯佛經與中古漢語人稱代詞的研究

這篇文章是應GRF研究計劃《漢語代詞在歷史上幾個重要變化之動因研究》和“漢譯佛經與漢語代詞研究”工作坊的要求撰寫的，目的是通過對20世紀80年代以來利用翻譯佛經語料所作的中古時期漢語代詞研究的回顧，總結得失，為今後的研究提供一點幫助。由於時間和能力的雙重限制，我們把綜述的範圍從代詞縮小到人稱代詞，希望能以小見大，取得事半功倍的成效。總的來說，譯經語料的人稱代詞研究並不是佛教漢語研究的熱門話題，發表的成果遠不如其他領域。同時，在語料的研究視角方面，仍然比較傳統，集中於口語特色，視其為本土語料不足的重要補充。這當然與譯經語料在語言接觸理論和語言變異理論視角下所顯示出的漢語歷史語言學的潛在價值有相當大的距離，也凸顯出這個研究計劃和工作坊的意義和必要。文章在工作坊做了交流，在修改時重點吸收了工作坊其他論文的最新成果。
This paper aims to review critically the studies of Chinese pronouns in the Medieval period based on the Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures in the mainland China since the 1980s. The scope of this review is narrowed down from pronouns to personal pronouns due to limited time. The research on personal pronouns is not popular in Buddhist Chinese studies, so that the total amount of publication on this topic is substantially less than that of others. Moreover, the research perspectives are conventional, mainly focusing on the colloquial style of the translation and regarding it as a supplement to the literature written in classical Chinese. This situation is caused by the neglect of the potential value of Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures in Chinese historical linguistics from the perspectives of language contact and variation.
