為肢體殘障人士開發運動配件

坐式排球是殘疾人奧林匹克運動會的其中一項運動項目，運動員需要坐着打排球。但是這項運動只適合具有高運動能力的肢體殘疾人士。因此，結合坐地排球和輕排球的技術及規則改良而成的坐地輕排球誕生了。與對照組比較，接受坐地輕排球訓練的殘疾人士的心身健康明顯有所改善。根據我們的觀察和參與者的意見，參加者在進行坐地輕排球訓練時，可能會出現擦傷的情況。此外，參加者的運動裝備與地面所產生的磨擦亦阻礙他們坐時地的移動。我們訪問了11位有參與坐地輕排球訓練的殘疾人士，他們不滿意現有的運動裝備如缺乏保護等。所以，我們應用坐地輕排球（運動）的知識，和設計師合作度身訂造一些適合肢體殘疾人士的運動服裝。

Sitting volleyball (SVB), which is played from a seated position is one of sports in the Paralympic Games. However, SVB may only be suitable for people with physical disabilities (PWPD) who have high sport competence. Sitting light volleyball (SLVB), which combines the skills and rules of SVB and light volleyball, was thus developed. PWPD playing in SLVB intervention exhibited better physical and psychological health, compared to the control group. From our observation and comment from participants, PWPD playing SLVB may suffer from abrasion with their lower body part(ies) to the floor. The ground floor friction may also increase their resistance to sport movement in SLVB. Results of our focused group interviews (n = 11 PWPD) showed that they dissatisfied the quality of their existing sports accessories such as lacking of protection. Therefore, we applied and transferred our knowledge and expertise in sitting light volleyball (sport) as well as textile and design to produce a tailor-made functional sportswear and accessories to PWPD.
