Abstract
這研究採用了「自尊探索」 (Self-esteem Inventory) 的23項問卷 (Coopersmith, 1967),測量了387位華人學童的自尊感。研究樣本取自香港和新來港由中國內地來的小學生。結果顯示新來港中國內地學童多覺得自己是失敗者,他們希望是另一個人。與香港學生比較,他們對自己的期望頗低,在家庭方面,他們遇上的壓力也比香港的同學大。
The 23-item Self-esteem Inventory developed by Coopersmith (1967) was used in measuring the self-esteem of 387 Chinese primary school children. The samples included Hong Kong children and newly arrived Mainland Chinese children. The results show that the newly arrived children tend to perceive themselves as failures and often wish they were someone else. They have a low opinion of themselves and have more family pressures than their Hong Kong peers. Copyright © 2004 香港青年協會.
