文字功用的察覺與幼兒學習語文的反思

Abstract

本文是作者在香港教育學院中文系2006年11月舉辦「幼兒中英文閱讀發展」講座的演講稿,內容主要是介紹幼兒在日常生活中,其實早已察覺到生活環境中所存在的符號和文字。因此,給幼兒多些機會察覺周遭環境的文字功用,實是幼兒學習語文的重要元素。學校、教師和家長可從幼兒認識文字在日常生活中的意義和重要性的角度,反思現行幼兒學習語文的情況。
This article is the speech summary of the author who had the seminar in November, 2006, offered by the Chinese Department of The Hong Kong Institute of Education. The main theme of the speech is to introduce the importance of language awareness in learning for the preschool children. Children can easily learn the symbols and literacy from their environment. It is hoped that schools, teachers, and parents should reflect the existing practice in helping children to learn languages in view of the language awareness.
