從段、顧“四郊”、“西郊”之辯看段玉裁理必之學

段玉裁與顧千里就《禮記》經、注當作“四郊”或“四郊”各執一詞，觸發二人對古代學制、乃至校勘根本原則的爭辯。段、顧論爭實源於學理上之矛盾，段玉裁的理校，乃其治學主裁斷、重發明的理必之學的體現。文章借由考析二人論說的理據及論證方法，揭櫫乾嘉學術中除顧氏所代表的信守明文舊注的學風外，更有段氏所代表的重視邏輯推理、追求道理上必然的理必之學，以期對段氏學術能有較深入認識。
The dissent between Duan Yucai and Gu Qianli regarding on collating an annotation in Liji ― whether to Sijiao (四郊) or to Xijiao (西郊), had triggered their debates over educational systems and the principle of collation. Their contestations stemmed from the fundamental divergencies of their academic approaches. The ration-al collation approach that Duan advocated was a manifestation of Logical Certainty, which emphasizes inference and invention. This paper analyzes the argumentations of the two. There from it points out that Qian-Jia scholarship did not include only the academic approach represented by Gu, which emphasizes the fidelity to the original edition; but also the logical certainty approach represented by Duan, which upholds logical inference and the pursuit of truth. By that, the paper aim to provide a more extensive understanding of Duan’s scholarship. Copyright © 2019 商務印書館.
