建立《早期粵語聖經資料庫》：粵語聖經的數碼人文學研究

《早期粵語聖經資料庫》是清末民初粵語聖經的網上資源。內容包括：1.粵語聖經的歷史背景；2.翻譯粵語聖經的西方傳教士資料；以及3.以不同版本的《路加福音》為語料的粵語聖經語料庫。以往的早期粵語語料庫注重詞彙檢索，而該資料庫除了檢索詞彙，還可以查閱上下文，甚至整本《路加福音》，方便跨領域學者做數碼人文學研究。為了讓用戶容易明白如何使用這個資料庫，本文用了一些實際的例子來示範說明粵語聖經的經文隨著時間的推移如何演變。
The Early Cantonese Bible Database is an online resource for Cantonese Bible published in the late-Qing and early-Republican era. It consists of the following components: 1. The historical background of the Cantonese Bible; 2. Personal information of the main Western missionaries engaged in the translation of the Cantonese Bible; and 3. the corpus of Cantonese Bible using different versions of the Gospel of Luke. Corpora of early Cantonese in the past have put much emphasis on the word search. The Database, however, enables users to search words in context or even read the whole text in the Gospel of Luke. We hope it can attract multi-disciplinary researchers in their digital humanities research. Using some samples in the corpus, this paper attempts to demonstrate how this Database can be utilized to analyze the changes that had been made in the verses of Cantonese Bible over time.
