Abstract
社會和文化兩大功能在全球城市構建過程中，往往是相輔相成、相互影響，並影響著全球城市地位的鞏固。倫敦和紐約既是經濟方面的全球城市，同時也是文化之都，它們在文化方面的輻射甚為廣遠。一個世界級的全球城市必須多方面兼顧，才可能在全球各地眾多城市中處於領先地位。
The role of social and cultural functions in the process to build global cities, are often complementary and mutually influenced, may further consolidate a position as a global city. London and New York are both global cities both in economic and cultural aspects, their radiation are especially far-reaching in the cultural aspects.
