Abstract
本文旨在展示如何欣賞幼兒的視覺藝術作品。前部分首先介紹藝術欣賞的定義、審美觀的發展、費爾德曼的四階段藝術評鑑方法;後部分展示如何運用費爾德曼「描述」的方法,在與原作者的交談中,逐步解讀幼兒的作品。談話中雙方對形象和視覺元素的描述,有助成人對作品的了解,由此更能作出中肯的評價。藝術評鑑中判斷雖然重要,但更應看重對作品的理解(Barrett, 1997, p.4)。
This article illustrates how to appreciate the visual artwork of young children. A definition of art appreciation, the development of aesthetics, and Feldman’s four-step strategy for art criticism are introduced. Two examples show how adults can use Feldman’s first strategy as a step-by-step approach to decipher what the child’s artwork is about, alongside conversations with the children who created the work. Describing the forms and visual elements of the work in these conversations assists adults to develop fair judgments and a better understanding of the work. A critique should not be ignored, but rather more emphasis should be placed on interpreting what young children have achieved (Barrett, 1997, p.4).
