在華外國留學生漢語學習初探

Abstract

首次嘗試在中國文化背景下,探究來華學習漢語的外國留學生跨文化適應和二語習得的關係,旨在瞭解研究問題的本質。採取了定性的研究方法,通過對25名來自4所不同高校的外國留學生進行開放式問卷獲得數據;並對所得的數據進行內容分析。研究結果表明:二語習得動機在留學生們的學術和社會文化適應中起著至關重要的作用;此外,東西方的文化差異影響著語言習得的成績和社會文化適應。
This paper investigates, for the first time in the context of the People’s Republic of China, cross-cultural adaptation and second language acquisition motivation of international students studying Chinese at tertiary level. The data were collected through e-mail interviews and open-ended questionnaires, and content analysis was used to address the research interest. The results indicate that second language acquisition motivation plays a very important role in the process of student’s academic and socio-cultural adaptation. In addition, cultural differences between East and West are also important, resulting in different levels of language attainment and socio-cultural adjustment. Copyright © 2007 武漢科技大學.
