《周易》全球化：回顧與前瞻 (一)

本文嘗試考察17世紀以來《周易》一書自中國傳播至域外各國的大勢，從歐洲傳教士的翻譯，德川時期日本及朝鮮李朝時期的研究，以至於近、當代最新的研究情形，包括疑古思潮的影響、茶山《易》研究的意義，以及於美國學者近一世紀的研究成果。作者不但介紹各種重要的學者和著作，也盡量指出學者研究的淵源、路徑、方法與得失，以說明《周易》一書在過去一二百年間獲得歷史的機遇，得以傳播世界各國，而成為全球的經典。當形成這些機遇的歷史條件在21世紀逐漸改變甚至消失之後，學者也需要回顧檢討，思考未來易學研究的路向。
This paper attempts to observe holistically the dissemination of Zhouyi and its studies across Asia, Europe and North America, especially on how the classic is transported, studied, translated, interpreted and reproduced based on different backgrounds in different languages and cultures. For the case in Europe, to link up the language gap, missionaries devoteto translate the text into European languages. While translation of a classic is actually a kind of re-interpretation, by reproducing a new version in a different language context, European scholars shed new lights on the classic by incorporating Christian philosophy as well as new knowledge such as psychology. The situation is totally different in Asian countries such as Korea and Japan in which Chinese characters are the major medium. In gist, particular historical factors led to the popularity of Zhouyi and its studies across the east and west. Looking into the future, when these factors disappear, we may need to think innovatively the prospect of teaching and research of the classic. Copyright © 2018 中國周易學會；山東大學.
