Abstract
《全人學習與心靈教育》一書中指出全人發展是五育與心靈教育的共同發展。然而,香港對兒童心靈教育與發展卻沒有相關的研究方案。因此,筆者嘗試從《國際兒童心靈學刊》中找出有關概念的理解,尤其是近代學者對兒童心靈的需要及如何設計心靈教育課程等的研究成果。筆者在學刊中更發現研究的趨勢大致上有以下三個特點:跨學科、跨地域和跨宗教。在結論中筆者進一步建議香港學者與教育工作者也應關注及促進有關兒童心靈教育研究的發展。
In the book, Holistic Learning and Spirituality in Education, the authors emphasized that spirituality is an essential part of holistic education. Hence, the present author attempts a review of the International Journal of Children’s Spirituality, to see how children’s spirituality has been studied and discussed in the past decade. It is found that children’s spirituality has been a concern of scholars all over the world, across regions, across cultures and disciplines, and across religions. Hence, the author proposes that scholars and educators in Hong Kong should pay more attention to the study of children’s spirituality in the years to come.
