傳統音樂在學校的傳承:國際議題和挑戰

Abstract

傳統音樂是每個國家都具備的文化元素之一,透過學習和傳承傳統音樂,可以有效繼承和發展自身的本土文化;然而傳統音樂在學校課程中面對多方困難和挑戰,亞洲各國多以西方音樂作為學校音樂課程的主導,傳統音樂則被邊緣化。本文先審視傳統音樂在當代音樂環境中面臨的困境,再介紹一個全面瞭解音樂傳統的理論架構,從而瞭解不同的音樂傳統的獨特性和價值,提出音樂文化並無高低之分,並寄語有關當局重新審視本土傳統音樂文化在學校教育中的價值和地位。
Traditional music is an important element of culture in every country. By way of learning and transmitting traditional music, local culture can be inherited and developed. However, traditional music in schools has been facing different challenges and difficulties.In Asia, it is common to see that western art music has been the main learning target in school music curriculum while traditional music has been marginalized. This thesis reviews the challenges that traditional music is facing in contemporary music context and introduces a comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding the nature of all music cultures, in order to understand that different music cultures possess their own uniqueness and values. It is advocated that differentiation between "high" and "low" music cultures does not exist. This thesis concludes that relevant authorities should review the provision and position of local and traditional music cultures in school curricula. Copyright © 2015 華中師範大學.
