Through service learning, this project will provide a context in secondary or primary schools for the HKIEd's Visual Arts students to identify and develop teaching and learning strategies from/for the school teachers based on the mutual beneficial experiences. As the keystone of service-learning pedagogy is reflection, VA students and the school teachers will work together on understanding the requirements and characteristics of schools. Reflection exchange between all parties will also be involved. It is also hoped that the services could provide professional support and development opportunities for the Visual Arts teachers in schools on amending their school-based curriculum according to the paradigm shift of the visual arts curriculum change.
