Project Details

Description

This multistage project investigates the landscape of the training and adult education (TAE) sector in Singapore. TAE is critical to Singapore as it helps to improve workforce productivity, competency and resilience through the culture of lifelong learning to meet major economic and social challenges caused by global economic competition. However, to ensure the sector’s development in a systematic, integrated and holistic manner, it is important to gain a deeper understanding of its current status. Therefore, this study aims to provide baseline information about the TAE sector and identify TAE providers’ characteristics and business models, profiles of TAE professionals, their beliefs and practices as well as challenges they face and impact of government policies and initiatives on TAE practices and development.
