Study of Biofiltration Using Waste Materials as Packing Medium on Ammonia Removal in Swine Buildings

    Project: Research project

    Project Details

    Description

The overall goal of this study is to provide a fundamental understanding of removal mechanisms in the biotrickling reactor and to support the results obtained in previous chapters. The main objectives are to evaluate the removal kinetics; to identify and quantify the metabolic products in the biodegradation of H2S and NH3; and to characterize the bacterial community dynamics on the treatment performance.
